Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,the poet of politics
The person without whose birth the birth of Bangladesh would not be is undoubtedly the father of the nation Bangabondu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.Bangladesh means Sheikh Mujibur Rahman & Sheikh Mujibur Rahman means Bangladesh. This two very words are synonymous. This great leader was born on the 17th March in 1920 at Tungipara,Gupalgonj.Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,the father of the nation & the greatest Bangali leader of all time is the proclaimer of independence of BD.He was a great statesman & the voice of deprived, oppressed & down trodden people of the world as well the source of inspiration. Starting Language Movement of 1952 this great leader led every movement towards attaining self determination of Bangalies including 6-point movement of 1966, mass upsurge of 1969 & general election of 1970. Finally he declared country's independence at the early hours of the 26th March in 1971. Thus today's Bangladesh was born. But,unfortunately, this great leader was brutally killed by some cruel, ambitious & greedy army officers on 15th August, 1975. We're mournful & speechless for this loss is irrecoverable.
