Subject: English Class: four Unit: 8. My Family Lesson : 2.1, 2.2 Page: 30

Presentation of today's session:

• Ask the Ss, 'Who can read the text (1.3)?'

• Select one and tell him/her to come to the front and read aloud the text.

• Tell other Ss to listen to him/her attentively by putting finger under the line.

[Provide necessary support.]

• After that, write the questions of activity 2.1 on the board/display the pre-written

poster paper.

• Explain and make sure that every S understands the meaning of the questions.

[Explain in Bangla if necessary]

• Then ask Ss, "Can you recall the words that we learned last class like parents,

grandparents, cousin….?"

• Allow them to answer freely.

• Now, show the word cards (activity 2.2) one after another and explain the words

and meanings of column A and column B.

Practice Activities:

• Divide Ss in small groups.

• Tell the groups to find out the answers of the questions from the text.

• Then, write them individually in their notebooks.

• Provide necessary support to find out the answers.

• Then, invite the group leaders to present their answers.

• Give opportunity to other groups to discuss and correct the answers. [Support

Ss if necessary]

• Then, tell Ss to sit in the same group and match the words from column A with

their meaning in column B and write in a notebook.

• Tell a group to come to the front and read aloud what they have written in the

matching activities.

• Tell other Ss to match their answers.

Assessing learning:

• Ask questions to the Ss randomly from the text.

• Ask Ss randomly the meaning of the relationship in family.

Consider the following assessment indicators while assessing the learning of the

students.
