Renewable Energy refers to energy that is obtained from natural resources that are continuously replenished and do not get exhausted over time. The main sources of renewable energy include solar energy from the sun, wind energy from moving air, hydropower from flowing water, biomass energy from organic materials such as plant and animal waste, and geothermal energy from heat inside the Earth. These energy sources are considered environmentally friendly because they produce little or no pollution and help reduce dependence on fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas. Renewable energy is important for sustainable development as it provides a cleaner and more reliable way to meet the growing global demand for power.
