"Size doesn’t matter when/while chopping wood." he said. "Some of the big boys don't chop well. I've been chopping wood at the orphanage for a long time."
If I use these modifiers, the sentences would be more clear and grammatically correct. But we find those sentences in the text book. Infact, the authoress, here, has beautifully described in a pastoral setting the oral expression of an innocence boy named Jerry, an orphan boy with no education, not having any standardised language.
