Yesterday (28/09/2024) I had the incredible opportunity to attend the "Empowering Educators: Implementing AI-Enhanced Inquiry-based Approaches to English Language Education in Bangladesh" workshop, part of the "IVLP Impact Award 2024" initiative, organized by BELTA Chattogram South and Global Aid for Sustainable Development (GASD). This workshop was truly eye-opening, highlighting the transformative potential of AI in language education.
A special thanks to Md. Saif Alam, Assistant Professor
at the World University of Bangladesh, and Dr. Sayeda Fatema, Co-founder of GASD and U.S. Exchange Alum, for their inspiring sessions on integrating AI tools like Chat GPT into our classrooms. Their expertise made a significant impact!
I also want to express my gratitude to Dr. Mahib Ullah, Associate Professor at DELL, IIUC, and U.S. Exchange Alum Fulbright FLTA & IVLP, and Mr. Sadat Zaman Khan, Associate Professor & Chair at DELL, Premier University, Chattogram, for their insightful remarks on the importance of continuous professional development. A special mention to Prof. Dr. Alan Godlas from the University of Georgia for his thought-provoking insights.
Collaborating with fellow educators to explore innovative vocabulary teaching strategies and develop AI-integrated lesson plans was an invaluable experience. I’m excited to implement these new techniques in my classroom and empower my students with cutting-edge tools for language learning. Here’s to continuous growth and innovation in education!
Again Thanks and Gratitude Mohib Ullah Sir.
