#Grammar_কাকে_বলে_উহা_কত_প্রকার_ও_কী_কী ?

Grammar is the whole system and structure of a language. 

The English grammar of a language helps people write, read and speak that language correctly.

(যে পুস্তক পাঠ করলে ইংরেজি ভাষা শুদ্ধরূপে লিখতে, পড়তে ও বলতে পারা যায়, তাকে English Grammar বা ইংরেজি ব্যাকরণ বলে।)

নিয়ম কানুন এর দিক দিয়ে ইংরেজি  Grammar কে পাঁচ ভাগে ভাগ করা হয়:

1. Orthography (বানানতত্ত্ব বা শব্দ প্রকরণ):

Orthography is the conventional spelling system of a language. 

2. Etymology (শব্দরুপ ও ধাতুরুপ প্রকরণ):

Etymology is the study of the origin of words and the way in which their meanings have changed throughout history.

3. Syntax (বাক্য গঠন বা পদবিন্যাস প্রকরণ):

Syntax is the arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language.

4. Punctuation (যতিচিহ্ন বা বিরামচিহ্ন প্রকরণ):

Punctuation is the marks, such as period, comma, and parentheses, used in writing to separate sentences and their elaments and to clarify meaning. 

5. Prosody (ছন্দ প্রকরণ):

Prosody is the patterns of rhythm and sound used in poetry.
