Introduction:
"Eternity begins and ends with the Ocean's tides." - (unknown quote)
The life of children's eternity imprisoned forever in the school premises. Because after that period, people enter the traditional life and life begins to struggle. But we want to go back to the sweet time of childhood. Especially in the hundreds of busy times. We remember only early school memories.
Now I am a teacher of primary school, so everyday I return to my memories of school unknowingly. From that memory, I try to bring back my joyful infancy and educational surroundings with new enthusiasm and sensation for my students. Occasionally, I reminisce with my students.
Description:
The memories of a teacher's early school life affect them in the next life. Because people have gathered their ideas from their past lives. In brief, I am portraying the early memories of my school life.
ⅰ) The ice-breaking period :
I can remember the first day of my school. That was still not my school In the last week of December 1992. I participated in the admission tests in Noapara Model High School at KG-2 (kindergarten). Then I was three and half years old. That afternoon I got the result of the admission Test. My father brought the result with sweets. He was very happy because I became the first place amongst the 44.
However, after receiving the result, I was very scared because I felt that my school teachers angriness and seriousness. It was very scary and it drove me away all the time. Gradually, as a student, the first day of my school knocked at the door. My parents became very anxious and excited to buy my school uniform, shoes, bags, exercise book, diary. I tried in front of my parents because they wanted to know how to look ! I used to discover myself in the mirror also. But I could not win the inner fear of my mind.
4) My motivational institution - my school: My School is a co- education school.
•Noapara Model High School moved on its footsteps in 1980 with a great vow to build a nation. Some of it was received in the National Education Week held in 2003. That year, this school had achieved the best school title in Bangladesh Among the districts of Jashore, Noapara Model High School known as the only digital educational institute of Avhaynagor Upazilla, nowadays. Digital CCTV cameras are included in each classroom and veranda also However, in my days the eyes of Sir's and Madam's were the lens of each CCTV camera.
At that time, there was a rotating two storied building where the number of rooms was 18 out of 4 were used as office rooms. There were also two (ground) floored buildings in which one in 4 rooms and another (science building) is 3 rooms. We had a small library and an auditorium. There was a separate toilet facility for both boys and girls in a corner at a large space of my school. Above all, there was a housing system for the headmaster. Though it is not shown in a big city, it is one of the best schools in Bangladesh. The school maintains a high standard of education.
(iii) Maximum experience - first day of my School
It was 2nd January, 1993. My parents, made me dressed in school uniforms. We reached school in a rickshaw. My father told me to stand in the assembly after leaving the bag in the classroom. I was familiar with that word "assembly" because my father was a junior commission officer of the Army. For that reason, I was afraid. I thought I had to do a lot of exercise like the army. I was getting tears and after some time I was crying.
After the end of the assembly I could not overcome the situation.
In the classroom, I was afraid also. But after some time I forgot my sadness for the sincerity of the teacher (female). I got a lot of friends In a few days the school took the place of home.
iv) My pedagogues:
From 1993 to 2004, I got two teachers, as headmasters. They were Mr. Md. Moksed Ali Khan (Double M.A.) and Mr. Md. Moshiur Rahman (Double MA). The assistant. headmaster was Mr. d. Abdul Wahab. Even 18 full time teachers used to work in the school. There were two office assistants, three clerks and one guard in the school's gate. Each of them loved me enough. I do not think I could even forget them. I always learned from everyone.8
v) My sweet friend:
The one from whom I learned after my mother, is my Madam Nazmun Nahar of KG-2. She taught us how to play. She/inspired my overall life. At that time I used to lose something in the classroom such as sharpener, pencil, eraser ete. And then started crying. Madam would smile. Suddenly she was finding everything by magic. I was surprised to see the talent I love her so much.
vi) Enter into student life:
After completing kindergarten level with achievement. I entered the primary level. I was very proud to enter a new class. Mini Biswas is my
first primary school teacher at class 1. During this time, I got a skilled but angry teacher's assistance. I used to be very scared of her. I used to talk a lot in class. And if I talked, this beautiful lady could not beat anywhere except my back. Note that at that time the teacher could use a stick ? in the classrooms. 10
vii) Adult student life:
I did not have to change my school after fifth grade (Class 5). So the difference between primary and secondary education was not clear in my eyes. For this reason, secondary education was as memorable as primary. Passing eighth grade (Class 8) I got into (Class 9) Ninth grade and I chose science group for studies. During that time, my class teacher was Mr Abdul Mannan. He was well versed in everything. I saw him showing equal fluency at Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. I chose Chemistry in higher education. It was possible because of his guidance.
viii) My class-mates:
I was cordial with everyone in my school. Like the children who sat on the first row of the bench as well as the children who sat on the last row of the bench. I was very close to everyone. So all of them were my best friends and also they are now.
ix) Institutional achievement:
I was an ordinary student in the class. That is why, my informativeness is not very satisfactory. And my result was like five other students. I got general grade scholarships. I passed SSC from the science group in 2004 and obtained "Grade-A". 13
x) Extra co-curricular activities:
I learned dancing and singing at an early age. Apart from this. I was well-versed in various classes of co-curricular activities including lectures, essay competitions, drama playing from class-3. Once then, most probably in 1998, I had to go to Jashore to participate in the National Event" without noticing home. Because it's urgent to go and participate and that was the time we did not have any mobile phones. My father was very angry but next he was very happy too. Because I got first place in three events.
Conclusion:
Today, many years later, I can remember my early school memories because of this writing. The fragmented part of life often makes people think about what they left behind in childhood. For the time being, some memories are blurred. As a teacher of primary level, I gather many new ideas, thoughts and concepts in my early memories "which will enlighten my students' lives. A teacher in a philosopher and a philosopher learns from real life. Constantly the teacher has to face many challenges. In those cases, practical experiences help the teacher mostly.
