LEARNING SUSTAINABILITY
Feynman technique is a great method of teaching and learning, its benefits and self-reflection are excellent, it can be a good system for students who are weak in learning and cannot remember. In this case, students will first understand the subject, then they will explain it to someone else, then they will explain it to others in such a simple way that they can easily understand it, that is, a subject has to be presented in different simplified ways, then learning will be sustainable.
The Feynman technique is a powerful method that helps in increasing the ability to learn and remember. This technique is known as the famous physicist Richard Feynman. He could explain complex subjects very easily. This technique basically works in four steps:
1. Subject selection and basic knowledge:
·First, select the subject you want to learn.
·Write the name of the subject on a white paper or notebook.
·Note down everything you know about this subject.
2. Explaining to yourself or others:
·Now imagine that you are teaching the subject to someone, such as a friend or younger sibling.
·Try to explain the points you have noted in simple language and clearly.
·Break down complex words or concepts and use simple examples.
3. Identify and re-study weaknesses:
·If you get stuck or have difficulty understanding somewhere while explaining, identify that place.
·After identifying your weaknesses, study those points again.
·Take help from books, internet or a teacher if needed.
4. Simplify and Repetition:
·To make the learning process easier, simplify complex concepts.
·Create examples in your own language and note them down.
·Repeat this process until you fully understand the topic.
Advantages of the Feynman Technique:
·Deep knowledge: This technique helps you to go deeper into the topic.
·Identify weaknesses: You can easily understand where you are getting stuck.
·Increase memory: Your ability to remember increases with repeated practice.
·Confidence: Your confidence also increases when you understand the topic well.
Who is this technique suitable for?
·Students: Students of any age can benefit from using this technique.
·Teachers: Teachers can use it to explain complex topics to their students in an easy way.
·Anyone who wants to learn something new: This is an effective method for learning new languages, skills, or concepts.
