My Home District

The name of my home district is Moulvibazar, which is located in the Sylhet division. It is about 250 kilometers from Dhaka.  The name Moulvibazar came from the name of Moulvi Kudrat Ullah. The district is naturally beautiful; the Monu River flows through the town. There are 92 tea gardens in Moulvibazar district. Moulvibazar is also famous for great people like the Bengali writer Syed Mujtaba Ali and the scientist Muhammad Ataul Karim. There are many tourist spots in Moulvibazar. The Madhobkunda waterfall, the Lauachara Reserve Forest, the Hum Hum waterfall and the Hakaluki Haor are very interesting places. I am very proud of my home district.
