18.5 Lakh student's wait to end on Monday

The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations are set to be published next Monday (August 10). With the release of the results, the nearly two-and-a-half-month wait of 1,857,344 students under 11 education boards will come to an end. Under the usual rules, SSC and equivalent examination results are published within 60 days of the completion of the written examinations.

Accordingly, the results were expected to be released by July 20. However, this year’s results are being published nearly three weeks later than the scheduled deadline. A total of 1,857,344 students appeared for the examinations under 11 education boards this year. Of them, 930,305 were male and 927,039 were female.

Students from 30,666 educational institutions took part in the examinations at 3,885 centres.

Of the total candidates, 1,418,318 were from the nine general education boards, 303,286 appeared for the Dakhil examinations under the Madrasa Education Board, and 134,660 took the examinations under the Technical Education Board.

Candidates will be able to obtain their results through SMS, while the results will also be published on the websites of all education boards.

The information was confirmed by Professor Dr. Syed Akhtaruzzaman, President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

He said the results would be available on the websites of all education boards. Candidates will be able to access their respective board results through the relevant board’s website. The results will also be available on the two common result portals: eduboardresult.gov.bd and educationboardresults.gov.bd.

How to Check Results via SMS Candidates can use any mobile SIM operator to check their results via SMS. They need to open the messaging option on their mobile phone and type SSC, followed by a space, the first three letters of their board name, a space, their roll number, another space, and the examination year. The message should then be sent to 16140.

The result will be provided through a return SMS. For example, a candidate from the Dhaka Education Board should type: SSC DHA ROLL YEAR and send it to 16140.

For a Dakhil candidate under the Madrasa Education Board: SSC MAD ROLL YEAR For a candidate under the Technical Education Board: SSC TEC ROLL YEAR Each SMS
