CYBER SECURITY FOR TEACHERS

I think it was a great experience and a new thing for all the teachers in our country. The whole experience was interesting, informative, and different from the usual activities we normally do. It gave us an opportunity to learn about some important topics that are becoming more and more relevant in our daily lives, especially in this digital age.

One of the most useful parts of the experience was learning about cyber safety and responsible use of the internet. Nowadays, students spend a lot of time online for education, entertainment, communication, and social media. Because of this, knowing how to stay safe online is extremely important. Through this experience, I learned about different types of online threats, cyberbullying, cyberstalking, privacy issues, misinformation, and different types of biases. These are things that we may face every day without even realizing their impact.

I also learned that not everything we see on social media or the internet is necessarily true. Sometimes, we believe information simply because it matches our existing beliefs. This is known as confirmation bias. Similarly, we may believe something because a famous or powerful person said it, which is called authority bias. Understanding these concepts helped me realize that we should think carefully and verify information before believing or sharing it.

Another important thing I learned was about protecting personal information. Information such as an NID number, phone number, address, passwords, and other personal details should not be shared carelessly online. I also learned why privacy settings on social media are important and how they can help control who can access our information. These lessons are especially important for students because young people can sometimes share personal information online without thinking about the possible consequences.
