Aim in Life Dialogue for Class 6, 7, 8, SSC, HSC
Aim in Life Dialogue for Class 6, 7, 8, SSC, HSC
Every student has a dream about what he or she wants to become in the future. Some want to be doctors, some want to be teachers, and some want to be engineers, pilots, or businessmen. A dialogue on aim in life is a conversation between two people about these dreams and plans. In school exams, students are often asked to write a dialogue between two friends about their aim in life. It is a very common item in English second paper for Class 6, 7, 8, SSC, and HSC.
This kind of dialogue is useful because it teaches you how to talk about your future plans in English. It also helps you learn new words, sentence patterns, and polite ways of asking and answering questions. When you practise aim in life dialogues, you do not only prepare for the exam — you also learn how to express your own dreams clearly and confidently.
In this post, you will find four class-wise dialogues: one for Class 6-7, one for Class 8-9, one for SSC, and one for HSC. Each dialogue is followed by a line-by-line Bengali translation so that you can understand every line easily. At the end, you will also find difficult word meanings, dialogue-writing tips, and frequently asked questions. Read the dialogue of your class first, then read the others too — they will make your English stronger and your exam answer richer.

Rina: Hello, Mina! How are you?
Mina: Hello, Rina! I am fine, thank you. And you?

Mina: I am thinking about my future. What do you want to be in life?
Rina: I want to be a teacher. What about you?
Mina: I want to be a doctor. I want to help sick people.
Rina: That is a very good aim. A doctor saves lives.
Mina: Yes. And a teacher teaches students. Your aim is also very good.
Rina: Thank you. Why do you want to be a doctor?
Mina: Because my grandmother was sick last year. A doctor made her well. From that day, I want to be a doctor.
Rina: That is really nice. I want to be a teacher because I love my teachers.
Mina: What do your parents say about your aim?
Rina: My parents are very happy. They say a teacher is a great person.
Mina: My parents are happy too. They say I must study hard.
Rina: Yes, we must study hard to reach our aims.
Mina: Yes. Shall we study together every day?
Rina: Yes, of course. Let us help each other.
Mina: Good idea! Then both of us can be successful.
Rina: Yes. Let us work hard from today.
Mina: All right. See you tomorrow, Rina.
Rina: See you, Mina. Bye!

Rina: Thank you. Why do you want to be a doctor? —
Mina: Because my grandmother was sick last year. A doctor made her well. From that day, I want to be a doctor.
Rina: That is really nice. I want to be a teacher because I love my teachers. —
Mina: What do your parents say about your aim? —

Mina: Yes. Shall we study together every day?
Rina: Yes, of course. Let us help each other.
Mina: Good idea! Then both of us can be successful. —
Rina: Yes. Let us work hard from today. —

Aim in Life Dialogue for Class 8-9
Rahim and Karim are classmates in Class 8. One afternoon, they are walking home from school together. Rahim wants to be a doctor, and Karim wants to be a teacher. They talk about their aims and their plans to achieve them.
Rahim: Hello, Karim! You look very happy today. What is the good news?
Karim: Hello, Rahim! I got the highest marks in English in our class test. That is why I am happy.
Rahim: Congratulations! You are really good at English.
Karim: Thank you. By the way, have you ever thought about your aim in life?
Rahim: Yes, many times. I want to be a doctor. What about you?
Karim: I want to be a teacher. I want to teach in a village school.
Rahim: A teacher! That is a noble profession. But why a village school?
Karim: Because village students do not get good teachers. I want to help them learn and grow.
Rahim: That is a wonderful thought. I want to be a doctor for a similar reason.
Karim: What is your reason?
Rahim: In our village, there is no good hospital. Poor people suffer a lot. I want to serve them.
Karim: That is really great. A doctor is like an angel to sick people.
Rahim: And a teacher is like a candle that removes darkness from society.
Karim: True. But becoming a doctor is very difficult. You have to study for many years.
Rahim: I know. I am ready to work hard. What about you? What will you do to become a teacher?
Karim: I will study well, read many books, and learn how to explain things clearly.
Rahim: Good plan. Do your parents support your aim?
Karim: Yes, they do. My father says a good teacher can change a whole village. What about your parents?
Rahim: My parents also support me. They say I should serve people, not only earn money.
Karim: That is the right attitude. Money is not everything in life.
Rahim: Exactly. Let us promise to work hard for our aims.
Karim: Yes, let us promise. And let us help each other in studies too.
Rahim: Agreed. Good friends always help each other.
Karim: Well, it is getting late. Let us go home now.
Rahim: All right. See you tomorrow at school. Goodbye!
Karim: Goodbye, Rahim!
(Bengali Meaning)
Rahim: Hello, Karim! You look very happy today. What is the good news? —
Karim: Hello, Rahim! I got the highest marks in English in our class test. That is why I am happy. —
Rahim: Congratulations! You are really good at English. —
Karim: Thank you. By the way, have you ever thought about your aim in life?
Rahim: Yes, many times. I want to be a doctor. What about you?
Karim: I want to be a teacher. I want to teach in a village school. —
Rahim: A teacher! That is a noble profession. But why a village school? —
Karim: Because village students do not get good teachers. I want to help them learn and grow. —
Rahim: That is a wonderful thought. I want to be a doctor for a similar reason. —
Karim: What is your reason? —
Rahim: In our village, there is no good hospital. Poor people suffer a lot. I want to serve them.
Karim: That is really great. A doctor is like an angel to sick people.
Rahim: And a teacher is like a candle that removes darkness from society. —
Karim: True. But becoming a doctor is very difficult. You have to study for many years.
Rahim: I know. I am ready to work hard. What about you? What will you do to become a teacher? —
Karim: I will study well, read many books, and learn how to explain things clearly. —
Rahim: Good plan. Do your parents support your aim? —
Karim: Yes, they do. My father says a good teacher can change a whole village. What about your parents?
Rahim: My parents also support me. They say I should serve people, not only earn money. —
Karim: That is the right attitude. Money is not everything in life.
Rahim: Exactly. Let us promise to work hard for our aims. —
Karim: Yes, let us promise. And let us help each other in studies too.
Rahim: Agreed. Good friends always help each other.
Karim: Well, it is getting late. Let us go home now.
Rahim: All right. See you tomorrow at school. Goodbye! —
Karim: Goodbye, Rahim! —
Aim in Life Dialogue for SSC
Sakib and Tanvir are SSC examinees. Their final exam is coming near. One evening, they meet at a tea stall near their school and talk seriously about choosing the right aim in life — Sakib wants to be a doctor, Tanvir is confused between engineering and teaching.
Sakib: Hello, Tanvir! What are you doing here alone?
Tanvir: Hello, Sakib! I am just sitting here and thinking about my future. You know, our SSC exam is very near.
Sakib: Yes, I know. After SSC, we will have to choose our groups. Have you decided your aim in life?
Tanvir: Not yet. I am confused. Sometimes I want to be an engineer, and sometimes I want to be a teacher. What about you?
Sakib: I have already decided. I want to be a doctor.
Tanvir: A doctor! That is a great aim. But why a doctor?
Sakib: Because I want to serve sick and helpless people. In our country, many people die without proper treatment. I want to change that.
Tanvir: That is a noble aim. But do you know how hard the path is? You must get GPA-5, then pass the medical admission test.
Sakib: I know. It will be tough, but I am ready to work hard. What about you? Why are you confused?
Tanvir: I like mathematics and science, so engineering attracts me. But I also love teaching my younger brother. Teaching gives me joy.
Sakib: Both are good professions. You should choose the one that matches your interest and talent.
Tanvir: That is the problem. I am good at both. How can I decide?
Sakib: Think about which work you would enjoy for your whole life. A profession is not for one day; it is for a lifetime.
Tanvir: That is true. When I teach, I feel happy. When I solve a math problem, I also feel happy. It is hard to choose.
Sakib: Then talk to your teachers and parents. They know your strengths better than anyone else.
Tanvir: I already talked to my father. He says I should choose what my heart says.
Sakib: Your father is right. But remember, an aim in life should also be useful for society, not only for yourself.
Tanvir: You are right. A teacher can build the nation by making good citizens. An engineer can build roads, bridges, and technology.
Sakib: Exactly. Whatever you choose, you can serve the country. The important thing is honesty and dedication.
Tanvir: Yes. I think I will choose teaching. I want to be an ideal teacher like our English sir.
Sakib: Wonderful decision! And I will try my best to become a good doctor.
Tanvir: Let us make a promise — we will study hard and never give up.
Sakib: Promise! One day, we will both serve our country in our own ways.
Tanvir: Yes. Now let us go home and start studying. Our exam is near.
Sakib: All right. Best of luck for your future, Tanvir!
Tanvir: Best of luck to you too, Sakib!
(Bengali Meaning)
Sakib: Hello, Tanvir! What are you doing here alone? —
Tanvir: A doctor! That is a great aim. But why a doctor? —
Tanvir: That is the problem. I am good at both. How can I decide? —
Tanvir: Let us make a promise — we will study hard and never give up.
Sakib: Promise! One day, we will both serve our country in our own ways. —
Tanvir: Yes. Now let us go home and start studying. Our exam is near. —
Sakib: All right. Best of luck for your future, Tanvir! —
Tanvir: Best of luck to you too, Sakib! —
Aim in Life Dialogue for HSC
Fahim and Nafis are HSC students and old friends. They meet in the college library during a break. Fahim dreams of becoming a civil servant, while Nafis wants to be a software engineer and entrepreneur. Their conversation is mature, thoughtful, and full of realistic planning about passion, service, and the future.
Fahim: Hello, Nafis! I have been looking for you. How are you?
Nafis: Hello, Fahim! I am fine. I was reading a book on artificial intelligence. What about you?
Fahim: I am well. I have been thinking a lot about my aim in life these days. Our HSC exam is not far away.
Nafis: Same here. After HSC, life will take a serious turn. Have you fixed your aim?
Fahim: Yes. I want to be a civil servant. I want to join the administration and work for the people of this country.
Nafis: That is a great aim. What made you choose the civil service?
Fahim: When I see corruption and mismanagement around me, I feel hurt. I believe an honest officer can bring real change to society.
Nafis: I admire your thinking. Honest officers are the backbone of a nation. What about my aim? I want to be a software engineer.
Fahim: That is a smart choice. The whole world is moving towards technology. But why software engineering?
Nafis: Because I love coding. I enjoy solving problems with technology. I also want to build my own company one day and create jobs for others.
Fahim: So you want to be an entrepreneur as well. That is ambitious, but I think you can do it.
Nafis: Thank you. But I also want my work to serve society. Technology should not be only for profit; it should solve real problems.
Fahim: That is a very mature thought. What kind of problems do you want to solve?
Nafis: For example, our farmers do not get fair prices. I want to build an app that connects farmers directly with buyers.
Fahim: Excellent idea! That would help thousands of farmers. You know, our aims are different, but our goal is the same — serving people.
Nafis: Exactly. Whether it is through administration or technology, service to society should be the main purpose of our lives.
Fahim: But we must be realistic too. Becoming a civil servant is very competitive. I will have to pass the BCS examination, which is one of the toughest in our country.
Nafis: And becoming a good software engineer is also not easy. I will have to learn programming deeply and keep updating my skills all my life.
Fahim: True. No great aim can be achieved without hard work, patience, and sacrifice.
Nafis: I agree. We also need a backup plan. If one door closes, another may open. What is your backup plan?
Fahim: If I cannot join the civil service, I will try teaching. A teacher also serves the nation. What about you?
Nafis: If my company fails, I will work as a software engineer in a good firm and try again later. Failure is not the end; it is a lesson.
Fahim: Well said. I think passion without planning is only a dream. We need a clear plan and daily discipline.
Nafis: Absolutely. Let us set our daily study routine and follow it strictly from today.
Fahim: Agreed. Let us also remind each other whenever one of us becomes lazy.
Nafis: Done. Friends should push each other towards success.
Fahim: Well, the break is almost over. Let us go to the class now.
Nafis: All right. Let us meet again tomorrow and discuss our study plan in detail. Goodbye!
Fahim: Goodbye, Nafis! Best of luck for your dream!
(Bengali Meaning)
Fahim: Hello, Nafis! I have been looking for you. How are you?
Nafis: Hello, Fahim! I am fine. I was reading a book on artificial intelligence. What about you?
Fahim: I am well. I have been thinking a lot about my aim in life these days. Our HSC exam is not far away.
Nafis: Same here. After HSC, life will take a serious turn. Have you fixed your aim? —
Fahim: Yes. I want to be a civil servant. I want to join the administration and work for the people of this country.
Nafis: That is a great aim. What made you choose the civil service? —
Fahim: Agreed. Let us also remind each other whenever one of us becomes lazy. —
Nafis: Done. Friends should push each other towards success. —
Fahim: Well, the break is almost over. Let us go to the class now.
Nafis: All right. Let us meet again tomorrow and discuss our study plan in detail. Goodbye! —
Fahim: Goodbye, Nafis! Best of luck for your dream! —

Aim in Life Dialogue Writing Tips
Start with a greeting: Every dialogue should begin naturally with a greeting like "Hello", "Good morning", or "How are you?" This makes the conversation look real and polite.
Use the names of the speakers: Write the name of each speaker before his or her line, followed by a colon. Keep the same spelling of the names throughout the dialogue.
Keep natural turn-taking: In a real conversation, one person speaks and then the other replies. Do not let one speaker talk for five lines in a row. Alternate short speeches between the two speakers.
Ask questions: Good dialogues are full of questions — "What do you want to be?", "Why do you want to be a doctor?", "What will you do?" Questions keep the conversation moving and make it interesting.
Give a reason for each aim: Do not just say "I want to be a doctor." Add a reason — "I want to help sick people" or "I want to serve my village." Reasons make your dialogue meaningful and help you get more marks.
Use simple and correct English: For Class 6-8, use short and simple sentences. For SSC and HSC, you can use richer vocabulary and longer sentences, but grammar must always be correct.
Add a polite closing: End the dialogue with a polite goodbye such as "Goodbye", "See you tomorrow", or "Best of luck". A dialogue without a closing looks incomplete.
Match the dialogue to your class level: Junior students should write 12-16 short exchanges. SSC students should write 16-20 exchanges with more detail. HSC students should write 18-22 exchanges with mature ideas like planning, service, and realistic thinking.
Practise the Bengali meaning: After writing each dialogue, try to translate it into Bengali in your mind. If you understand every line, you will remember it easily in the exam hall.
Revise spelling and punctuation: Check the spelling of names, professions, and difficult words. Use question marks after questions and commas where needed.
FAQ

An aim in life dialogue for Class 6 should be short, simple, and easy to understand. It usually has 12-16 short exchanges between two friends. The language must be simple — small sentences, common words, and a clear reason for the aim. The Class 6-7 dialogue in this post between Rina and Mina is a perfect example. You can learn it and write it in your own words in the exam.
Aim in Life Dialogue for Class 7
An aim in life dialogue for Class 7 is almost the same as Class 6, but you can add one or two extra ideas. For example, you can mention what your parents say about your aim, or how you plan to study. Keep the sentences simple and the conversation natural. The dialogue between Rina and Mina above works very well for both Class 6 and Class 7 students.
Aim in Life Dialogue for Class 8
An aim in life dialogue for Class 8 should be a little longer and richer than the junior classes. It usually has 14-18 exchanges. You can use words like "noble profession", "serve the people", and "work hard". Try to show a clear reason behind the aim, such as helping villagers or sick people. The Class 8-9 dialogue between Rahim and Karim in this post is a good model for Class 8 students.
Aim in Life Dialogue for SSC
An aim in life dialogue for SSC should be deeper and more thoughtful. It usually has 16-20 exchanges. At this level, examiners expect you to discuss choosing between two professions, the difficulties of the path, and the value of serving society. The SSC dialogue between Sakib and Tanvir in this post covers all of these points — confusion between engineering and teaching, the hardness of the medical path, and the importance of honesty and dedication.
Aim in Life Dialogue for HSC
An aim in life dialogue for HSC should be the most mature of all. It usually has 18-22 exchanges with serious ideas — passion, realistic planning, backup plans, and service to society. You can include modern aims like software engineering, civil service, or entrepreneurship. The HSC dialogue between Fahim and Nafis in this post shows how to discuss passion with planning, and how to talk about backup plans if the first dream does not come true.
Dialogue Between Two Friends About Aim in Life
A dialogue between two friends about aim in life is the most common form of this item in exams. The two friends meet, greet each other, and ask about each other's future plans. Each friend explains his or her aim with a reason. They discuss their plans, encourage each other, and end with a polite goodbye. All four dialogues in this post follow this pattern, so you can use any of them according to your class.
How to Write an Aim in Life Dialogue in Exam?
To write an aim in life dialogue in the exam, first read the question carefully and notice the names given. Start with a greeting, then let the two speakers ask each other about their aims. Give a reason for each aim, add a short discussion about hard work or service, and close politely. Write neat and clean handwriting, keep the number of exchanges suitable for your class, and check your spelling before submitting your answer.
What Is the Best Aim in Life for a Dialogue?
There is no single best aim in life for a dialogue — the best aim is the one you can explain with a good reason. Doctor, teacher, engineer, civil servant, and businessman are all good choices. In your dialogue, the aim matters less than the reason and the plan behind it. Choose an aim you understand well, explain why you chose it, and show how you will work hard to achieve it.
