Pahela Boishakh is the first day of Bangla new year.In Bangladesh it is a public holiday.People wake up early in the morning, take a bath and were traditional clothes. Women were white sarees with red borders and adorn themselves with colourful churis and flowers.Men dress themselves in panjamas and punjabis. It is a day when people love eating traditional food. The cultural programme begins just at sunrise at Ramna Batamul organised by Chhayanaut.
