Awareness of Mental Health

                        Awareness of Mental Health

August 6, 2020 International webinar in collaboration with 'The Amygdala Forum' on the theme 'Happy DOSE', which aims to boost the happiness chemicals- Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, Endorphins and instill positivity and mental well being amidst the pandemic, Through interactive sessions and fun activities I had the privilege of joining this international program as an invited guest. I was invited by my Indian school Partner Raminder Amy Mac Dean - International Affairs at Choithram School, Indore, India. About 11 countries of the world participated there. The main speaker was Dr. Sara Byczek from the US University of Michigan and Prof. Lisa Kim Son from the Barnard College, New York. There were participants - students and teachers from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Taiwan, USA, UK, Canada, Argentina, Egypt, Turkey and Lebanon. The entire program was done by the Indian students themselves without the help of any teacher. The whole issue was about mental health, how much awareness do we have or how much awareness do we need and how much is the relationship between mental health and physical health? However, the speeches of the speakers were very meaningful. Here are some of my thoughts on this: What is mental health and how to get rid of it? Mental health is the combination of human thoughts, emotions and behavior. In a word, it means mental health, on the other hand, Mental health gives a person the ability to connect or unite with himself/ herself and others around him / her. Not only this, with the help of this skill man is also able to accept various challenges of his /her life. I also think that Mental weakness or abnormality has nothing to do with the concept of mental health. Thinking differently, it can be seen that, all of us have to face temporary disasters at some point in our lives. Dealing with personal or career challenges often leads to emotional exhaustion and anxiety. The question of mental illness comes to the fore when we see that our normal functions are being disrupted. It turns out that we are not as conscious about mental health as we are about physical health. In this case, we are not as much aware of mental health as we are of the diseases that are associated with our daily lives, but it is forbidden to talk about it. Most of the time mental health problems are based on a misconception. I know that, there are many types of mental problems. Such as fatigue, anxiety, there are also schizophrenia and bipolar problems etc. What we can do to maintain good mental health - Take care of yourself, eat nutritious food, get enough sleep, exercise regularly, do hobbies, believe in yourself, be grateful, spend more time with loved ones, stay active, forgive, the ways we have been told for so long are in our hands. By doing this we can stay mentally healthy. But it is important to seek expert advice to cure important mental problems. Although the physical damage is good, the mental damage is not easily overcome.
Sufferers can experience a variety of psychological problems, including severe stress, fear, depression, and depression. We should be by their side, not looking down on them and making arrangements so that they can have a perfectly healthy life.Thank you Raminder Amy Mac for joining me in a timely issues, and I hope that this kind of international activity will continue in the future.Thank you all for reading with patience
