Paragraph লেখার আগে ভাবতে হবে; Paragraph কত প্রকার হতে পারে। 

তিন প্রকারের Paragraph আছে। যেমন-

1. Paragraph on good side

a. Morning Walk

b. Physical Exercise 

c. Book Fair

d. School Magazine 

e. School Library 

f. Moonlit Night 

g. Early Rising 

h. Our National Flag

i. An Ideal Student 

j. Your Favourite Garden, etc.  

2. Paragraph on bad side

a. Traffic Jam

b. Deforestation 

c. Load Shedding 

d. Price Hike

e. Climate Change 

f. Global Warming 

g. Food Adulteration 

h. Environment Pollution 

i. A Street Accident 

j. Water Pollution, etc.

3. Paragraph on both good side and bad side.

a. A Tea Stall

b. Mobile Phone 

c. A Railway Station 

d. Facebook 

e. A Street Hawker

f. A Village Doctor 

g. A Rainy Day

h. A Winter Morning 

i. A Rickshaw Puller 

j. Internet, etc.

Paragraph কাকে বলে? 

একটি নির্দিষ্ট বিষয় বস্তুর উপর একটি অনুচ্ছেদে যুক্তি উপস্থাপনসহকারে এর উদ্দেশ্য সুন্দরভাবে উল্লেখ করে পরিসমাপ্তি করাকেই  Paragraph বলে।।

Paragraph লেখার ৩টি অংশ। 

1. Topic sentence 

2. Supporting sentences 

3. Concluding sentence 

Topic sentence লেখার আগে Paragraph এর শুরুতে Primary importance of the topic অর্থাৎ বিষয়টর প্রাথমিক গুরুত্ব সম্পর্কে কয়েকটি Sentence লিখতে হবে। অতঃপর Topic sentence লিখতে হবে। 

Topic sentence টি Thesis statement হবে। Thesis statement তিনটি বৈশিষ্ট্য নিয়ে গঠিত। যথা-

1. Content ( Paragraph টির বিষয় বস্তু থাকতে হবে)

2. Argument ( বিষয় বস্তু সঠিক হওয়ার জন্য যুক্তি থাকতে হবে)

3. Direction (Paragraph  টির মূলত উদ্দেশ্য কি তা উল্লেখ থাকতে হবে)

অর্থাৎ, Topic sentence টি যুক্তিসহ বিষয় বস্তু এবং এর উদ্দেশ্য থাকতে হবে।। 

উদাহরণস্বরুপ-

A tea stall is a popular place where people from all walks of lives come here to meet one another, to drink tea and to talk about political issues. 

Content    = A tea stall

Argument = A popular place 

Direction  = To drink tea and to talk about political issues (চা পান করে এবং রাজনৈতিক বিষয় নিয়ে কথা বলে। এখানে ভাল এবং খারাপ দিক দু'টি আছে। ভালো দিক হলো - চা পান করা এবং খারাপ দিক হলো - রাজনৈতিক বিষয় নিয়ে কথা বলা।) 

Paragraph যদি Good side সম্পর্কিয় হয় তবে Topic Sentence এর Thesis statement হবে Positive. 

Paragraph যদি Bad side সম্পর্কিয় হয় তবে Topic Sentence এর Thesis statement হবে Negative. 

Paragraph যদি Good side and bad side সম্পর্কিয় হয় তবে Topic Sentence এর Thesis statement হবে Positive and negative. 

Topic sentence এর উপর ভিত্তি করেই  Supporting sentences লিখতে হবে। 

Supporting sentence গুলোর ধারাবাহিকতা হবে-

1. Topic টি আলোচ্য বিষয় হিসেবে কেন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তার পক্ষে সংক্ষিপ্ত ব্যাখ্যা।

6. Solution 

Concluding sentence:

Topic sentence and Supporting sentences নিয়ে যা লেখা হয়েছে তার Summary হলো Concluding sentence i.e. Moral lesson.
